JCB's used to make large snowman!

Here at Digger we have been inundated with snow related stories this week. I thank you all for sending them in but here is one of the best!

Like many other excavator operators in the UK this week myself included, the guys at SJH Groundworks are out of work due to the snow. They just can't start new jobs because of the heavy ground frost and 8'' of the white stuff.

So with permission from their boss, the lads built a large snowman in his field next to the companies yard which is right next to the main road. Their machines of choice were a JCB loadall 530-70 to push up snow and Mike Bullock drove the JCB 8080ZTS to shape and compact the body!

All features of the snowman have been added using items you would find in a typical groundworks yard. Road cone for a hat, flashing lights for eyes, 4''drainage pipe for arms and marking out spray for the buttons.

In this last photo we see the proud snowman construction team standing next to the 8 ton JCB. From left to right is Ben Gittoes, Phil Greenow, and in the Hi vis jacket, Mike Bullock who was kind enough to send in these photos.
