Check out this amazing video which has been highlighted to me by friend of the Digger blog Guillaume Poitras from Canada.
It features some outstanding machine operating skills and co-ordination as the operator of the Caterpillar M315C picks up basketballs in a clamshell grab and shoots to score 5 baskets in 4 minutes on the German tv show Wetten Dass.
We need more tv like this in the UK maybe we could call it the X-cavator factor! Enjoy.

NICE ONE IT REMINDED ME WHEN DEMONSTRATING FOR LEVERTON CATERPILLAR MY SELF AND ALAN DENIS DID A CHALLENGE ON YOU BET WITH MATHEW KELLY THE CHALLENGE WAS WITH A NEW LAUNCHED 325 CATERPILLAR TRACKED EXCAVATOR BREAKING 5 EGGS WITH THE TOOTH OF THE BUCKET IN CRYSTAL CUT GLASSES ALAN WAS BLINDFOLD I WAS ALANS EYES WE DID IT WITH SECONDS TO SPARE THAT WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST CHALENGE I HAVE SEEN ON YOU BET .
THEN I HAD THE CHALLENGE WITH A CATERPILLAR 428 BACKHOE LOADER PLAYING SHUFFLE BOARD WHICH IS PLAYED ON A TRIANGLE WITH NUMBERS ON BOARD SHIPS PLAYED BY PASSENGERS ON CRUISES I WAS USING THE BACKHOE BUCKET I HAD TO SCORE 50 POINTS STRIKING THE PUCKS IHAD THE ASSISTANCE OF 2 MORE LEVERTON GUYS ONE PLACING THE PUCKS ONE KEEPING THE SCORE WE DID THE CHALLENGE WITH 5 PUCKS TO SPARE .

Great stuff Tom,
I remember those You Bet shows very fondly and have trawled the net looking for footage of those machinery events but sadly so far I have had no joy. Does anyone know where we can find some You Bet footage ?

Yes Nick i do have videos on the 2 shows we did on You Bet i will loan them to you if you like and maybe you could have them transfered on to disc for the future as i wouldnt like to loose them on video Regards Tom. .

Hi Tom,
It would be great but I would hate to have the responsibility of having your videos ! Do you know anyone who could copy them to DVD and then you could send me a copy? Then there is no fear of losing your video copy.
