Expanding company Absolute Drainage Solutions (South West) Ltd was formed 5 years ago by Graham Townsend and Steve McKechnie both of whom have over 20 years experience in the groundworks industry.
Graham said "We had been highly impressed with the Takeuchi products in the past and when it came to purchasing our own mini excavators it really was no contest."
The company currently runs two models a 1.5 ton TB016 and more recently a 4.5 ton TB145 along with other machines that are hired in as required.
ADS (South West) Ltd cover the whole of the west country and surrounding regions and are specialists in drainage, water leaks and pipe renewals, underground ducting and all other aspects of groundwork.
All operatives are CSCS & CPCS accredited and are also NVQ streetworks qualified too.
The company also has 5 million public liability insurance cover which enables them to work on high profile projects such as the recent Whitleigh school contract in Plymouth for Interserve.
I have sub-contracted to ADS for a number of years now and have always been amazed at the diversity of jobs they take on. As well as the big jobs ADS are quite happy to take on smaller works too and this weekend I was approached to complete a small job for them using the Takeuchi TB145.
This job involved the pulling out of roots and stripping the site of vegetation prior to it being covered with mulch to prevent the weeds from growing again.
The TB145 is a fantastic mini digger to operate and I simply can not fault them, the ultra smooth hydraulics are a dream to use and the machine just does what you ask of it with no effort at all.
