Rare Cat 834H wheeled dozer goes to work in UK

A brand new Caterpillar 834H wheeled dozer has recently been delivered to Castlebridge plant and is going to work at the Broken Cross OCCS site In South Lanarkshire .

These machines are rarely seen in the UK but are quite popular in Australia and America where they are employed to clean up around face shovels, trim up haul roads and pushing tips over.

Using these wheeled type dozers on this type of work can save a lot of track wear on conventional dozers lke a D10T for example.

The machine is seen here in Finnings depot awaiting delivery to the site.
