NRC introduces larger Link-Belt tele crawler to Europe

in Mobile Cranes, NRC Plant on 30 September 2009

The Link-Belt TCC-750 is a 70t-capacity telescopic boom crawler crane that was developed by the US manufacturer at the request of its European distributor NRC Plant.

NRC had previously introduced Link-Belt's 40t TCC-450 telescopic boom crawler to the European market and saw demand for a larger version. The 70t version was introduced to the European market by NRC at SED 2009.

NRC managing director Rod Abbot said: "Considerable time and effort has been spent promoting these type of machines over the past two or three years. They have been very successful in all areas of construction and erection type projects. As an appointed European distributor for Link-Belt Cranes we were honoured to be given the opportunity to launch their first 70 tonne telescopic crawler crane at SED."

The TCC-750 has a four-section full power boom that extends to 35m to give a maximum tip height of 38.9m. It comes complete with a short jib and 7.7m two-piece fly jib on board. The maximum boom and jib length is 54.55m.

The crane is fitted as standard with a hydraulically operated counterweight removal system and has duties with tracks fully extended, mid-range and retracted, which provides infinite configurations to suit all site requirements. It is also fitted with the latest RaycoWylie 3500 Load Moment Limiter, which includes a complete slew restriction system.

The TCC-750 has a completely sealed lower and hydraulically retractable side frames for easy transport and onsite flexibility. The retracted gauge, good for transport or work, is 2.56m. Two additional working modes at 3.63m and, fully extended, at 4.27m add jobsite versatility.
