GGR extends training at Oldham depot

in Cranes and Access, Training on 16 December 2009

Mini crane specialist GGR Group has extended its training facilities with the opening a construction plant competence scheme (CPCS) accredited testing centre for category A66 cranes at its Oldham depot. GGR has Europe's largest hire fleet of mini cranes and previously only offered A66 training at its Long Crendon site.

Oldham was already an accredited RTITB testing centre for vacuum lifting and will now carry out examinations for the static outrigger and the mobile industrial (pick and carry crane) endorsements A and B. Plant operators level 2 NVQ will also be offered at Oldham and the CSCS touch screen health and safety test can be arranged locally through the centre.
On passing the course candidates can expect a CPCS A66 certificate and competency ID card along with a Best Practice Guide
