New fuel-efficient compressor range from CompAir

in Compressors, Ancillary Equipment, CompAir on 02 March 2010

CompAir will launch a range of fuel-efficient portable compressors at Bauma.

The new 24bar units offer energy savings of up to 26% by using a combination of features including CompAir's C series TurboScrew, bi-turbo technology and auto-idle. Bi-turbo technology sees the engine fitted with two turbochargers, the first is used to drive the engine in the usual way while the second uses the residual energy in the exhaust stream to pre-compress the air entering the screw compressor.

Weighing in at under 3.5t the new C230TS-17, C210TS-21 and C200TS-24 compressors can be towed by many 4×4 vehicles and vans. Visitors to CompAir's stand at Bauma can view the new C200TS-24 unit alongside other models from its range.
