Aurelia Training - It's not Just for Boys!
Heather Seymour proved that the construction industry isn't just for the boys when she passed her excavator 360 test at Aurelia Training in Kentford near Newmarket in Suffolk.
Aurelia Training is a dedicated training organisation covering most categories of construction plant as well as industrial forklifts.
Heather, 40, passed the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) theory and practical test at Aurelia Training with flying colours.
Steve Holden, Instructor at Aurelia Training said, "It was a pleasure training Heather. There are just over 200,000 women in the construction industry and many of those are working on site operating plant machinery. At Aurelia Training we have trained and assessed females on machinery from forklift trucks to 360 excavators. These are heavy pieces of equipment, but the girls can operate them just as well as men, proving that the construction industry doesn't just have jobs for the boys."
Aurelia Training is a fully approved CPCS, NPORS and NVQ training and test centre. It offers individuals, as well as contractors, plant hirers and local authorities the opportunity to undertake a complete package of training plus theory and practical testing and assessment up to NVQ Level 2, which is now a requirement to obtain a blue CPCS competence card.
In addition, Aurelia Training can arrange the initial Health and Safety touch screen test at a convenient location and in many cases funding for the NVQ through the government's Train to Gain Scheme.
