Doosan has introduced a new synchronisation option for its G250, G400 and G500 PowerSource generators.
The new AGC200 synchronisation panel allows the units to work as a single generator in island, in island generator synchronisation, auto mains failure with back synchronization, mains power export or load take-over, with fixed power (base load) or peak shaving. A switch on the rear of the synchronisation panel selects the required mode and the new controller can also provide dual 50/60Hz frequency capability and a full power management module to optimise fuel consumption.
The G250, G400 and G500 are the three largest models in the Doosan's PowerSource generator family and feature Cummins diesel engines with Leroy Somer alternators. Doosan said the new synchronisation feature will allow specialist generator rental companies to increase utilisation rates.
PowerSource generators can run for at least 24 hours without refueling and have 110% containment to prevent any spillage of fuel, oil or coolant contaminating the ground.
