Asbestos awareness roadshows from HSS and Natas

Hire specialist HSS is teaming up with Natas Training to host a series of roadshows covering the latest information and guidance on working with asbestos. The roadshows run throughout January and comprises an Asbestos Seminar in the morning and an optional Natas-certified Asbestos Awareness Course in the afternoon.

The seminar costs £25 ex-VAT per person and covers asbestos awareness, an update on the employer's 'duty to manage' responsibilities and health and safety advice as well as exploring the options of in-situ management verses removal. In the optional afternoon session is an asbestos awareness course which is also £25 ex-VAT.

HSS training director Mark Winfield said: "Asbestos is obviously a big concern within the construction industry and it's essential that people are properly trained in the correct handling procedures and how to manage the associated risks. We hope our roadshows will help raise awareness of this 'hidden killer' and provide people the knowledge and support to deal with it as safely as possible".

A buffet lunch and refreshments is included in the delegate fees and all participants are eligible for 25% discount on Natas' asbestos awareness e-learning courses. Places can be booked via the HSS or Natas websites.
