images.jpgDown time costs money. Air-Seal Products will be back in the SED2011 pavilion for the ninth year with its range of tyre sealants to keep your kit on the move.

At last year's show Air-Seal really drew in the crowds, hammering nails onto a tyre and instantly sealing the hole with one spin of the wheel! Bottles of the product flew off the shelves at a rate of knots, with many buyers coming back to pick up a 20-litre pail.

Air-Seal products supply the Complete Range of Tyre Sealants to prevent punctures up to 30mm and eliminate all rim and bead slow air leaks to improve operational efficiency.

The company's advanced technology meets the needs of waste management and demolition industries, civil engineering and building contractors. Here's how the system works:

As the tyre rotates, the product spreads evenly over the inside surface. Immediately a penetration occurs, the air pressure in the tyre forces millions of fibre particles and fillers suspended either in ethylene or propylene glycol to interlock which plugs the hole in the tread area preventing any further air loss within one or two revolutions of the wheel.

This action is so rapid that the driver may not know a puncture has happened. Later, when the tyre is inspected, if the cause is still present it can be removed. When removed, the vehicle must be driven immediately to enable the tyre to re-seal itself.
