GenQuip is marketing a temporary edge protection system designed to stow in 2m long stills for easy transport.

The Safety Plast system builds into a barrier 1,100mm high and comprises a series of fence panels and posts. Each panel weighs 10.5kg (or 13.2kg with two posts) and a range of brackets allows it to be freestanding or to fasten to vertical walls, string courses or flat floors.

Twenty five panels and associated posts pack into a single 2m x 1m still which is fitted with fork pockets and weighs less than 600kg fully loaded.

GenQuip has also introduced a mobile confined space training unit based on its Groundhog accommodation unit. The twin-axle unit can be towed to site and set up in less than three minutes.
